2 cups fruit
1/3 cup sugar
Mix together in a bowl; set aside
2 Tablespoons butter
Melt in a 21/2 to 3 quart baking pan in the oven
¾ cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
Stir together in a mixing bowl.
¾ cup milk
Pour into dry ingredients. Mix well with a wire whip or a spoon.
Pour the batter into the melted butter in the baking dish. No need to mix together with the butter, do not stir.
Pour the fruit and sugar mixture over the batter. Do not mix in and do not spread to edges of the baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until a golden brown.
The cake part of the cobbler will rise and turn brown and become a sweet, crispy cake for the fruit.
